Menschenblut

Set in a grim, alternate-history Germany, Menschenblut (1994–2001) is a 22-issue series from the independent German publisher Eisenfresser, most consistently illustrated by Dieter Klapper. The comic explores a dystopian society where human life is commodified, blending political allegory with visceral, expressionistic art. Its unflinching critique of authoritarianism and systemic exploitation made it a landmark of 1990s German alternative comics.
