Michael Chabon Presents: The Amazing Adventures of the Escapist

From 2004 to 2006, Dark Horse presented this three-issue miniseries, a companion to Michael Chabon's Pulitzer-winning novel The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay. Anchored by scripts from Chabon himself, alongside comics legends Marv Wolfman and Will Eisner, the series expands the universe of the fictional Golden Age hero the Escapist. With art from Eric Wight, Joe Staton, and Eisner, it's a loving homage to the pulp era and a key artifact of the novel's imaginative legacy.
