About the series

From 1947 to 1950, St. John Publications gave the beloved cartoon hero his own comic book series, Mighty Mouse Comics, running 19 issues. Anchored by the energetic artwork of animators like Connie Rasinski, Jim Tyer, and Art Bartsch, alongside writers Bob Kuwahara and Tom Morrison, the title brought the squeaky-voiced superhero to four-color adventures. Readers could count on seeing his perennial foes like the villainous Oil Can Harry, as well as the sweet-natured Pearl Pureheart and his cousin Mitzi Mouse. This series captured the playful, fast-paced spirit of the classic Terrytoons character in a key era of his early comic-book life.
