Miracleman
In the late 1960s, BSV - Williams published Miracleman, a 25-issue series that reimagined the classic superhero archetype with a distinctly British sensibility. Written primarily by Mick Anglo, the series follows the adventures of Miracleman, a powerful hero granted his abilities by a mysterious alien force, as he battles a rogues' gallery of villains. While initially a straightforward superhero comic, its later reinterpretation by other creators would transform it into a landmark of the medium, influencing the darker, more mature storytelling of the 1980s. This original run remains a fascinating artifact of its era, showcasing the creative foundations of a character who would later become a touchstone for deconstructive superhero narratives.
