About the series
Mell Lazarus's Miss Peach is a long-running, single-panel comic strip that began in 1962, published by Pyramid Books. Created and solely written and drawn by Lazarus, the series offers a gentle, humorous look at the lives of a group of quirky elementary school children and their beleaguered teacher, Miss Peach. Though the strip itself ran for decades, its comic book incarnation was brief, consisting of just three issues. It remains a fondly remembered example of mid-century American newspaper humor, capturing the timeless chaos of the classroom with warmth and wit.
