Mosaik

In the mid-1960s, East German publisher Verlag Junge Welt launched Mosaik, a four-issue comic series that stands as a distinctive artifact of its era. Best known for introducing the beloved Digedags characters, the series blended historical adventure with socialist ideals, establishing a unique voice in European comics. Though brief, this run laid the groundwork for the long-running Mosaik tradition that would define GDR comics for decades.
