Mr. Jigsaw

A modern pulp revival from Redbud Studio, Mr. Jigsaw (2009–present) follows the adventures of a mysterious, mechanically-minded vigilante who uses a collection of custom-built gadgets and a team of unique allies to fight crime. Running 18 issues and counting, the series is most associated with the collaborative efforts of writer Ron Fortier and artist Gary Kato, whose work together gives the book a crisp, retro-futuristic feel. It matters as a lovingly crafted, independent homage to the costumed heroes and serialized thrills of early 20th-century pulp magazines.
