Munchkin

Based on the popular card game, this 25-issue Boom! Studios series from 2015–2017 brought the chaotic, backstabbing fantasy humor of Munchkin to comics. Writer Tom Siddell and artists Ian McGinty, Mike Holmes, and Rian Sygh captured the game's gleeful absurdity, following dungeon-delving adventurers who are as likely to betray each other as fight monsters. It's a lighthearted, self-aware romp that translates the game's core joke—that fantasy heroism is really just petty greed—into ongoing, monster-filled stories.
