Myth Adventures
From 1984 to 1986, WaRP Graphics published Myth Adventures, a ten-issue comic series that brought Robert Asprin's beloved fantasy-humor novels to the page. Writer-artist Phil Foglio, joined by Richard Pini and Asprin himself, translated the madcap exploits of the apprentice magician Skeeve and his irascible demon mentor Aahz into a visual feast of puns, chaos, and clever anachronisms. Featuring the scheming Frumple and a host of other eccentric characters, the series captured the lighthearted, irreverent spirit of the original books while showcasing Foglio's distinctive, energetic cartooning. Though short-lived, Myth Adventures remains a fondly remembered adaptation that helped define the tone of comedic fantasy in independent comics of the era.
