About the series
In this 1985–1986 DC Comics miniseries, writer Don McGregor and artist Gene Colan return to the world of their hard-boiled detective, Nathaniel Dusk, for a second four-issue case. Set in the shadowy corners of 1940s New York, the story follows the aging private eye as he navigates a web of murder, memory, and moral ambiguity. Colan’s moody, expressionistic art and McGregor’s dense, noir-tinged prose create a distinctive, cinematic atmosphere that sets the series apart from more conventional period crime comics.
