O Castelo dos Animais

In this Portuguese-language adaptation of George Orwell's Animal Farm, writer Xavier Dorison and artist Félix Delep transpose the allegorical rebellion to a Brazilian context, beginning in 2020 under the Arte de Autor imprint. Spanning three issues, the series reimagines the classic tale of exploited animals overthrowing their human farmer, only to have a new tyranny emerge from within their own ranks. Dorison’s sharp scripting and Delep’s expressive, earthy artwork give the familiar story a fresh, regional urgency, making it a notable entry in the modern European graphic novel tradition.
