Oberon Strips

From 1973 onward, the Dutch publisher Oberon released Oberon Strips, a series of 13 comic albums collecting serialized newspaper and magazine strips. The series gathered work from a rotating cast of Dutch and European talents, with Martin Lodewijk, Dick Matena, and Peter de Smet among its most frequent writers, and Dino Attanasio, Peter de Smet, and Jan Steeman as key artists. Oberon Strips served as an important archival vehicle, preserving and presenting a range of popular comic series in a durable album format for a generation of Dutch readers.
