Omega Men

In the mid-1980s, DC Comics launched an interstellar rebellion series, Omega Men, chronicling a ragtag band of alien freedom fighters battling the oppressive Citadel Empire. Written primarily by Roger Slifer, Keith Giffen, and Len Wein, with art by Tod Smith, Shawn McManus, and Giffen, the title explored themes of terrorism, political violence, and moral ambiguity against a cosmic backdrop. Though short-lived at 15 issues, its gritty, mature tone and willingness to challenge conventional superhero morality made it a distinctive, cult-classic entry in DC's post-Crisis on Infinite Earths era.
