In Orient (2020–2022), a manga series from Kazé Manga, humanity lives under the oppressive rule of demonic Kishin, who have twisted history to their whims. The story follows two young boys, Kojiro and Musashi, who dream of becoming fearsome bushi warriors to liberate their world. Published over 14 issues, this action-fantasy series is written and illustrated by Shinobu Ohtani, the creator of Magi, and carries forward that same flair for epic, mythic adventure with a fresh cast and a darker, more feudal setting.
