Orrornero

A moody, painted horror anthology from Italian publisher Edifumetto, Orrornero ran for just 11 issues between 1984 and 1985. The series is most strongly associated with the lush, macabre cover and interior art of Emanuele Taglietti, whose distinctive, painterly style gave each installment a visceral, dreamlike dread. Though brief, it stands as a vivid example of the twilight years of Italian fumetti neri, showcasing Taglietti’s mastery of shadow, flesh, and the grotesque.
