Os Defensores

Brazil's Editora Bloch launched Os Defensores in 1976, a five-issue series that introduced local audiences to Marvel's non-team of heroes. While short-lived, this Portuguese-language title is notable for being one of the earliest Brazilian publications to feature the Defenders, blending the original U.S. stories with local editorial touches. Its brief run marks a curious footnote in the international expansion of Marvel Comics during the 1970s.
