Our Gang

Walt Kelly’s short-lived 1946 series for Frank Johnson Publications adapted the classic Our Gang comedies into three issues of charming, slapstick comics. Kelly, best known for his Pogo work, both wrote and illustrated these playful adventures of Spanky, Alfalfa, and the rest of the mischievous gang. Though the series ran only three issues, it captures the lighthearted, kid-driven humor of the film shorts in Kelly’s signature lively style.
