Pittsburgh Fan Forum

A small but enduring artifact of early comics fandom, Pittsburgh Fan Forum was a three-issue series published by the Pittsburgh Comix Club from 1972 onward, blending fan enthusiasm with creator contributions. Most often written by Gary Sassaman and T. Scott, and illustrated by Roy Thomas and T. Scott, it offers a grassroots snapshot of the era's fan-press culture, where local clubs could produce their own comics and criticism. Its significance lies in capturing the communal, DIY spirit of 1970s fandom before the direct market transformed the industry.
