About the series
In the mid-1980s, Marvel Comics launched the lighthearted, all-ages space opera Planet Terry, a 12-issue series written primarily by Dave Manak and Lennie Herman, with whimsical artwork by Warren Kremer. The strip follows the adventures of a cheerful, dim-witted young hero and his alien companions as they bumble across a colorful cosmos. Kremer’s signature cartooning—reminiscent of his work on Harvey Comics—gives the series a playful, slapstick charm that stands apart from Marvel’s usual superhero fare. It’s a fondly remembered oddity from the era, offering pure, silly fun for younger readers.
