Pogo Possum

Walt Kelly’s beloved swamp critter Pogo Possum got his own comic book series from Wilson Publishing, running five issues from 1950 to 1951. Kelly wrote and drew every page, bringing his signature whimsical linework and gentle satire to the Okefenokee Swamp. This series captures the early, pre-national-syndication charm of Pogo, offering a more intimate look at the character before he became a household name.
