About the series
Set in the Sinnoh region, this eight-issue Viz series from 2008–2010 adapts the world of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl into a manga adventure. Written by Kaori Inoue and illustrated by Shigekatsu Ihara (who also contributed to the writing), it follows the journey of a young Trainer as they befriend a mischievous Chimchar and face off against the villainous Team Galactic. Ihara’s energetic artwork and the series’ fast-paced storytelling make it a faithful and lively companion to the games for fans of the era.
