Pondus

From 2000 to 2004, Bladkompaniet / Schibsted published 83 issues of Pondus, a Norwegian comic series built around the everyday misadventures of its title character and his circle—Jokke, Påsan, Frida, Camilla, and Beate. The series was most frequently written by Tormod Løkling, RedakTom, and Frode Øverli, with Øverli also serving as the primary artist alongside Tom Ostad and Tore Strand Olsen. A cornerstone of modern Norwegian comics, Pondus blends warm, relatable humor with a distinctly local sensibility, cementing its place as a beloved staple of the country’s funny pages.
