Pondus Julehefte

Frode Øverli’s long-running Norwegian daily strip Pondus got its own annual Christmas special with Pondus Julehefte, a series of 12 holiday-themed issues published by Hjemmet/Egmont from 2007 to 2018. Each issue collected seasonal gags and longer stories centered on the beer-loving, football-obsessed everyman and his cast of friends and family, all drawn and written by Øverli himself. The specials became a cozy yearly tradition for Norwegian readers, offering a warm, humorous slice of everyday life wrapped in tinsel and snow.
