About the series
During its 52-issue run from 1967 to 1968, IPC’s Pow! brought a distinctly British energy to American superheroes, reprinting classic tales from Marvel’s early Silver Age. The series was most defined by the foundational work of Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Steve Ditko, offering young UK readers their first regular dose of Spider-Man (Peter Parker) squaring off against the likes of Flint Marko’s Sandman, alongside the Human Torch (Johnny Storm).
