Set in a world where digital consciousness can be uploaded into organic bodies, Pulp Bytes (2022–present, Scout Comics) is a creator-owned series from writer/artist Pat Higgins. The first issue establishes a noir-tinged sci-fi mystery, exploring identity and memory in a future where the lines between human and machine blur. Higgins's distinctive art and storytelling make this a promising debut for a new independent series.
