Ranger
IPC · 1965–1966 · 40 issues
About the series
From 1965 to 1966, IPC’s Ranger was a short-lived but visually striking British comic, most associated with the painted artwork of Don Lawrence and James McConnell and the writing of Mike Butterworth. Over its 40 issues, the series blended adventure, history, and science fiction, offering a distinctive, richly illustrated weekly read that stood apart from its contemporaries. Though brief, it remains a notable showcase for Lawrence’s lush, detailed style and a fondly remembered experiment in high-quality comic presentation.
