Rauchende Colts

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, BSV - Williams brought the American Wild West to German readers with Rauchende Colts, a 15-issue comic series built around photo covers and gritty interior art by Jim McLaughlin and Jim McDonald. Scripted primarily by Paul S. Newman, Robert Schaefer, and Eric Freiwald, the series offered a straightforward, action-driven take on frontier justice and cowboy lore. Though short-lived, it stands as a curious cross-cultural artifact, blending U.S. western storytelling with European comic publishing sensibilities.
