Roy Thomas and Frank Thorne brought Robert E. Howard's fiery She-Devil with a Sword to Marvel Comics in this 15-issue run from 1977 to 1979. With John Buscema and Sal Buscema also contributing art, the series followed Red Sonja's adventures across the Hyborian Age, often pitting her against the sorcerer Suumaro. It defined the character's classic look and tone for a generation, blending Howardian fantasy with Marvel's trademark action.
