Rik Ringers

In the 1970s, Dutch publisher Uitgeverij Helmond brought the popular French-Belgian detective series Rik Ringers to its readers, running for 29 issues from 1973 to 1978. Created by the prolific artist Tibet, the series follows a suave, globe-trotting private eye whose adventures blend classic mystery with lighthearted, stylish action. Though originally a French comic, this Dutch edition helped cement the character's popularity in the Netherlands, showcasing Tibet's clean, dynamic artwork and knack for engaging, fast-paced storytelling. It remains a charming example of mid-century European crime comics, beloved for its retro flair and consistent, quality craftsmanship.
