About the series
In 1990, Semic launched Rockegjengen as a series of two comic pocket albums, gathering Frank Margerin’s beloved French rock-'n'-roll gang stories for a Norwegian audience. Margerin both wrote and drew the series, while Inger Østenstad contributed as co-writer, translating the high-energy, leather-jacketed antics of his characters into a local context. Though brief, the series stands as a key Scandinavian introduction to Margerin’s iconic, music-infused slice-of-life humor.
