About the series
In the late 1990s, Caliber Press published Saint Germaine, an eight-issue series written by Gary Reed and illustrated by Vincent Locke. The comic follows the centuries-old, enigmatic Count Saint-Germain, a figure drawn from historical legend, as he navigates a shadowy world of occult intrigue and philosophical horror. Reed's dense, literate scripts and Locke's haunting, atmospheric artwork gave the series a distinct, moody identity that set it apart from conventional horror comics of the era. Saint Germaine remains a cult favorite for its thoughtful, character-driven approach to the supernatural.
