Sandman

A Dutch-language reprint series from RW Uitgeverij, Sandman (2013–2019) collected Neil Gaiman’s iconic DC Vertigo run in nine digest-sized issues, making the complete saga of Dream and the Endless accessible to a new audience in the Netherlands. The series was shepherded by local editors and translators Olav Beemer and Peter de Bruin, who adapted Gaiman’s dense, poetic scripts into Dutch while preserving the original’s haunting tone and intricate mythology. This edition matters as it gave Dutch readers a cohesive, affordable way to experience one of the most celebrated fantasy-horror epics in comics history.
