About the series
In the early 1980s, Carlsen Comics published Semics Wahnsinns-Strips, a short-lived three-issue German comic series that collected the surreal, gag-driven work of the Danish cartoonist known as Semics. Known for its absurdist humor and chaotic visual style, the series offered a European take on the underground comix tradition during a period of growing international interest in alternative comics. Though brief in its run, it remains a notable artifact of Carlsen's early forays into publishing offbeat, creator-driven material in Germany.
