Serienytt

Serienytt (1968–1970) was a Norwegian comic anthology series published by Serieforlaget, Se-Bladene, and Stabenfeldt, spanning 12 issues. It primarily featured translated American newspaper strips and comic features, with the most frequent contributors being writer Allen Saunders and artist Bill Overgard (best known for Steve Roper and Mike Nomad), alongside Henry Boltinoff’s gag cartoons. The series served as a snapshot of mid-century American comic syndication adapted for a Scandinavian audience, offering a curated mix of adventure, humor, and serialized storytelling. Its concise run is notable for bringing these imported strips to Norwegian readers during a period of growing local comics interest.
