Silky Whip

In the late 1990s, Fantagraphics brought the surreal, manga-influenced series Silky Whip to American readers, running for twelve issues. Written and illustrated by the prolific creator known as Oh! great, with translation and adaptation by Studio Proteus, the comic follows the chaotic, supernatural adventures of its titular heroine. This series stands as an early English-language showcase of Oh! great's distinctive, energetic art style and offbeat storytelling.
