Silver Colt
Arédit-Artima · 1973–1985 · 63 issues
About the series
In the early 1970s, French publisher Arédit-Artima launched Silver Colt, a long-running Western series that would span 63 issues over twelve years. The title is most closely associated with the prolific Spanish artist Carlos Prunés, whose gritty, dynamic illustrations defined the book's visual identity throughout its run. A staple of the European "western de poche" (pocket western) format, Silver Colt delivered compact, action-packed tales of frontier justice. It remains a key artifact of the French-Italian comic industry's love affair with the American Old West.
