About the series
A long-running labor of love from underground comix veteran Clay Geerdes, Sleazy Horror emerged in 1981 as a self-published showcase for raw, unpolished terror. Over nine issues, the series delivered a grimly humorous mix of ghoulish gags and grotesque vignettes, often filtered through Geerdes' own distinctive, lo-fi art style. Its scrappy, DIY spirit and steadfast refusal to clean up its act made it a cult fixture in the small-press horror scene.
