About the series
Based on the massively popular video game, Sonic the Comic was the flagship UK title from Fleetway Publications, running for an impressive 184 issues from 1993 to 2002. While it shared the blue hedgehog's core premise of battling the evil Dr. Robotnik, the series forged its own distinct universe, introducing original characters and storylines that set it apart from the games. The comic is particularly remembered for the work of writer Nigel Kitching and artists like Richard Elson, who defined the book's energetic, dramatic tone.
