Spaceman
Marvel · 1953–1954 · 6 issues
About the series
In the early 1950s, Marvel (then Atlas Comics) launched Spaceman, a short-lived but visually striking anthology series that ran for six issues. Most often written by Hank Chapman and illustrated by a rotating team of Bob Forgione, George Tuska, and Joe Maneely, the comic offered a mix of futuristic adventure and atomic-age anxieties. Though brief, it stands as a snapshot of pre-Silver Age science fiction, showcasing the pulp-inspired storytelling and dynamic art that would later influence Marvel's cosmic heroes.
