Superior’s Spectacular Features Magazine ran for just two issues in 1950, a brief but visually distinct hybrid of comic and photo-magazine. Photographer Joe Rosenthal and artist Lee Ames anchored its short run, blending real-world imagery with illustrated storytelling. Though it barely got started, the title stands as an odd, early experiment in mixing media formats.
