Spectrum Comics

A short-lived but ambitious 28-issue series from Bennett, Coleman & Co., Spectrum Comics (1986–1988) was a bold experiment in creator-owned superhero storytelling, most notably featuring the dynamic art of John Romita Jr. and Bob Layton. Though its run was brief, the title is remembered for its distinctive visual energy and for pushing the boundaries of independent comics during the mid-80s boom.
