In the early 1950s, Mexican publisher Editora de Periódicos, S. C. L. "La Prensa" brought Will Eisner's iconic masked detective to a new audience with Spirit, presentado por Paquín. Running for 20 issues from 1951 to 1955, this series re-presented classic Spirit stories for the Mexican market, wrapped in the distinctive branding of the popular "Paquín" comic line. While the core tales remained Eisner's work, this edition stands as a unique cultural artifact, showcasing how one of American comics' most celebrated characters was adapted and introduced to Spanish-speaking readers during the Golden Age.
