Sprint
Dupuis · 1955–1956 · 49 issues
About the series
In the mid-1950s, Dupuis published Sprint, a short-lived weekly comic that ran for 49 issues, offering a brisk mix of adventure and humor strips. The series is best remembered as a showcase for rising Belgian artists, including the early work of Maurice Tillieux, whose gritty, dynamic style gave the title its distinctive edge. Though it never achieved the lasting fame of its stablemates, Sprint provides a fascinating snapshot of the French-Belgian comics scene during a period of creative transition.
