In 2005 and 2006, Spanish publisher Recerca Editorial released a six-issue comic series simply titled Star Trek: Classic, offering a fresh, standalone take on the original Star Trek universe. Written and drawn by a team of local talent, this short run revisited the core concepts of the 1960s series without adapting any specific episode, presenting original adventures for the iconic crew. Though brief, it stands as a notable European homage to the franchise, capturing the spirit of exploration and moral dilemmas that defined Gene Roddenberry's creation.
