From 1985 to 1988, Reiner-Feest-Verlag revived Milton Caniff's classic aviator hero in a six-issue comic series that reprinted the legendary creator's original newspaper strips. While Caniff's iconic artwork formed the visual backbone, German writers Volker Staub and Robert Fass contributed new material, giving the series a unique transatlantic flavor. This brief run matters as a late-era homage to one of adventure comics' most influential figures, preserving his signature cinematic storytelling for a European audience.
