In the early 1970s, Williams Forlag’s Stjerne-eventyr brought eight issues of classic fairy tales to Danish readers, adapting beloved stories from the Brothers Grimm, Carlo Collodi, and Charles Perrault into comic form. The series stands out for its lush, detailed artwork by a team including Bill Walsh, Kurt Schaffenberger, and Lin Streeter, who gave these timeless narratives a vibrant, visual life. As part of the Illustrerte Klassikere line, it offered a charming, mid-century European take on literary fantasy for a new generation.
