Strange Kiss

In 1999, Warren Ellis and artist Mike Wolfer launched Strange Kiss for Avatar Press, a three-issue miniseries that dissects the grim, bodily reality of a superhero origin. Rather than a tale of heroism, this short run explores the grotesque aftermath and psychological fallout of a man who becomes a living weapon, marking an early, unflinching collaboration between the two creators that would define much of their subsequent work together.
