Stranger in a Strange Land

Bruce H. Bolinger both wrote and drew this three-issue miniseries from Rip Off Press, running from 1989 to 1991. A loose adaptation of Robert A. Heinlein’s classic novel, it translated the story of a human raised on Mars returning to Earth into a distinctive, independent-comics format. Bolinger’s singular creative vision gives the series a raw, personal feel, making it a notable artifact of late-80s underground publishing.
