About the series
In the late 1970s, French publisher Arédit-Artima collected the undersea adventures of Prince Namor across 15 issues of Submariner, reprinting Marvel tales from the Silver Age into the early Bronze Age. The series drew from the work of key architects Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Roy Thomas, with art by Larry Lieber, Steve Ditko, and Sal Buscema, showcasing the Sub-Mariner's complex role as both hero and antihero. It stands as a distinctive French compilation that introduced European readers to the Atlantean monarch's solo exploits during a period when Marvel was deepening his character.
