Sugarfoot

From 1959 to 1963, Magazine Management published eleven issues of Sugarfoot, a comic-book adaptation of the Warner Bros. television western. The series is most notable for the striking artwork of Alex Toth, whose dynamic, clean lines brought the adventures of the wandering cowboy to life. Writers Eric Freiwald and Robert Schaefer were the most frequent contributors, crafting tales that captured the spirit of the TV show's frontier justice. Though short-lived, the series remains a fine showcase for Toth's early comic-book work.
